UCSA

The Universidad del Cono Sur de las Américas  (UCSA, for its acronym in Spanish) was founded in 1996. In 2012, the UCSA obtained the accreditation issued by the ANEAES (National Agency for Higher Education Accreditation) of the Ministry of Education for Industrial Engineering and Electrical Engineering undergraduate programs, and it was the first private university in Paraguay to receive such accreditation. The Universidad del Cono Sur de las Américas currently offers degrees  in 14 undergraduate programs, and 18 postgraduate programs, in four 4 academic areas (Science and Technology, Business Sciences, Social and Human Sciences, Engineering Sciences). In 2013, UCSA added to its educational offerings a new program in Naval Construction to support  the rapid growth and development of Paraguay's shipbuilding industry.

The UCSA defines education as the process of knowledge generation and promotion of the integral development of human potential in their physical, intellectual and spiritual aspects, with a clear focus on learning to know, learning to do,  learning to be, learning to live together and learning to undertake. In this context, promotes networking and inter-university cooperation as an essential mechanism of interaction to enhance the international dimension in all University process.
